Hey PALEALES! This coming Saturday(May 6) is the Big Brew!

We'll be brewing at the Suydam Insurance Agency as usual, thanks Paul!

Address: 1743 NJ-27, Somerset, NJ 08873

Parking will be easier, no stores will be open, so the front lot is fair game.

Please remember, this is not a child friendly event, if I need to spell it out, NO ONE UNDER 21.

As usual, starting time is whenever you set up, just try to be mashed out by noon!

Wort for competition entrants should be ready by noon, which brings up a couple more points:

Please drop off a brew bucket(labeled and with a lid) at Princeton Homebrew on Friday, or message me to arrange a drop off. You can bring it the day of, but it will add time and effort to the day's work, which leads us to...

I need a couple volunteers for brewery cleanup, nothing major, just a little grain lifting, a touch of scrubbing. Please shoot me a message if you're willing, it will help a lot.

I'll send an email or FB message to competition entrants once costs are tallied, remember to bring your hops!

Each 5 gallon batch will be $30. Please bring cash or a phone with access to PayPal. Also, given the soaking we're getting, setting up in the rear lot instead of on the grass is likely to be the best plan. See y'all tomorrow!

I wonder if the Referend can sell to bars to get on this list? They have been putting out some amazing stuff!

James was not planning to do that any time soon when I last spoke to him. I expect he will be able to sell bottles out of the brewery directly easily enough. In the beginning, he just won't have the capacity to sell externally. I agree totally though - I think he would be an easy sell in upscale restaurants and beer stores. I think there will be a lot of demand. I am pretty impressed with what he has done so far. Truly proud to have this brewery in the state.

Hey PALEALES, Big Brew is coming up and I need two bits of information from everyone.
The recipe is Lance's winning grain bill with whatever hops you wish to bring, finished off with WLP001.
1. Are you brewing this recipe?
2. If yes, are you planning on entering the competition?
I'd like everyone entering to use the same wort, so we'll squeeze as many batches as we can out of the Monster Mash.
